We Stand on God's Word

Our doctrinal statement is based upon the King James Version of God's Word. We believe that the Bible is the Final Authority for our faith and practice in life. Below you will find what we believe on the major doctrines of our faith.

Our Purpose

...is to win the lost by preaching and teaching the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6

The Final Authority

Our beliefs are based upon the King James version of God's Word.

"All Scripture is given by God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." 2 Timothy 3:16

Worship The Lord

We offer many opportunities on Sunday and Wednesday to worship our Lord and Savior and fellowship with other believers.

"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine, and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." Acts 2:42

What's Happenning

"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." Colossians 3:17

Statement of Faith

I.  Scriptures

We believe that the King James Version Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God without any error, and the supreme standard by which God judges our life, actions and faith.

Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12

II.  God

We believe that there is one and only one true and living God who reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

A.  God the Father

We believe that God the Father reigns over His universe, His creatures, and human history. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. God is Father to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Psalm 19:1-3; John 14:6-13; I Corinthians 8:6

B.  God the Son

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, was wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died in our place as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave, and ascended into Heaven. He is seated at the right hand of God and is the Mediator between God and man.

Isaiah 7:14; John 1:1,14; I Corinthians 15:3-4

C.  God the Holy Spirit

We believe that God the Holy Spirit is active in convincing unbelievers of their sin and their need for salvation. He is the Comforter and Guide Who lives in every believer. He inspired the men of old to write the Scriptures and reveals God's truth to the believer.

Psalm 51:10-11; John 14:26; II Peter 1:21

III.  Man

We believe that man is a special creation of God, made in His image, but that through the sin of the first man, Adam, mankind fell so that all men are sinners and in need of salvation.

Genesis 1:26-30; Matthew 16:26; Romans 5:12,19

IV.  Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God received through repentance of sin toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance and faith are inseparable experiences of grace. Repentance is a genuine turning from sin toward God. Faith is the acceptance of Jesus Christ and commitment of the entire personality to Him as Lord and Saviour.

John 3:16-21; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-13

V.  Church

We believe that the New Testament church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head. The Scripture refers to the Church as the Body of Christ which includes all believers past, present and those to come.

Acts 2:41-42; I Corinthians 12:12; Colossians 1:18

VI.  Baptism and the Lord's Supper

We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience symbolizing the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It also symbolizes the death of the old life in the believer and raising in newness of life to walk in Christ. Baptism is performed by immersion following salvation.

We believe that the Lord's Supper is also an act of obedience whereby believers, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, remember the death of Jesus Christ and look forward to His return.

Matthew 26:26-30; Matthew 28:19-20; Galatians 3:27

VII.  Eternity

We believe that those persons who die in their sins without Christ as their Savior will spend eternity in Hell and those persons who die with their sins forgiven through Christ will spend eternity in Heaven. We believe that Jesus Christ will literally return to the earth, the dead will be raised and Christ will judge all men in righteousness.

John 14:1-3; Hebrews 9:27-28; Revelation 20:11-15

VIII.  Assurance

We believe that every person who is truly saved will persevere to the end is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 10:27-29; Romans 8:38-39; Hebrews 12:1-2

IX.  Prayer

We believe that each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Prayer is a privilege that allows us to confess sin and bring our concerns and praise to God. The Holy Spirit interceedes on our behalf when we are unable to pray.

Romans 8:26; Philippians 4:6; I John 5:13-15

X.  Government

We believe in the separation of church and state, but not in separation of God and government. Christians are the salt and light in society and should always live a life without compromise before God.

Deuteronomy 10:12; Matthew 5:13-16; John 17:15

XI.  Marriage

We believe that marriage is a lifetime covenant made between one man and one woman. It is a picture of the relationship that Christ has with His Church. The husband is to love his wife as Christ loves the Church.

Genesis 2:24; Matthew 18:5-6; Ephesians 5:23,25
